About Our Classes

Classes are small with a lot of one-on-one teaching. Students not only learn techniques, but also how to teach them to others. Progress is only limited by your personal commitment.

We offer a free one-week trial for new students. Then we charge a flat $150/month for unlimited classes. There are no contracts or commitments.

You are welcome to come by any class to check it out. If you are new and would like to participate on the mat, you must visit and speak with an instructor first. All classes are instructional. (We do not have “open mat” practice sessions.)

Please note that we do not accept children under the age of 14 years old.

Dojo Rules

1. Bow when entering and leaving the dojo.

2. Bow whenever you step-on or off the mats, including using the dressing rooms or bathroom.

3. Avoid making noise and be respectful if other classes are in-progress.

4. If you are late, wait until opening ceremonies are completed before entering class. After you change into your judogi, bow to the instructor and wait for permission to join the class.

5. Greet judoka and jujutsuka with a bow.

6. Avoid profanity, obscenity, or unnecessary talking during class.

7. No eating or drinking in the dojo. (Water bottles excepted)

8. If you are tired, become ill, or for any other reason must leave class early, inform an instructor, take your bow, and leave quietly.

9. If you are feeling sick, do NOT come to class. We do not want to spread germs throughout the dojo.

10. Wash your judogi frequently. A soiled judogi spreads germs and is inconsiderate to your fellow jujutsuka.

11. Remove rings, watches, or any other jewelry before training.

12. Keep fingernails and toenails trimmed.

13. Do not handle weapons until you have been instructed in their use.

14. To avoid injuries, no randori (sparring) unless under the direction or permission of an instructor.
